Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Delovelicious Cakes & Co, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

1. Orders & Bookings

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation.

Orders for standard shop products, including cookies, brownies, traybakes, dessert boxes and other ready-made products, must be

paid for in full at the time of ordering.

Bespoke orders, including custom cakes, grazing tables and party packages, require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the booking and agreed date.

Orders placed

less than 7 days before the collection or delivery date

require full payment at the time of booking.

We do not offer a no-deposit option for bespoke orders.

An order or booking is only confirmed once the required payment has been received.

Final balances for bespoke orders must be paid in full before collection or delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to decline an order where we are unable to meet the requested date, design or requirements.

2. Bespoke & Custom Orders

Every bespoke cake, dessert and grazing table is handmade to order and unique.

Prices for bespoke products may vary depending on the size, flavour, design, decorations, ingredients, level of detail and other requirements.

A quotation will be provided for bespoke orders before the booking is confirmed.

Inspiration photographs may be used as a guide; however, exact replicas cannot be guaranteed.

Slight variations in colour, decoration, shape, size and finishing may occur due to the handmade nature of our products and availability of ingredients and decorative materials.

Any agreed changes to a bespoke order may result in an additional charge.

3. Standard Shop Products

Cookies, brownies, traybakes, dessert boxes, cheesecakes and other standard products are made according to the description provided on the website.

Product photographs are for illustration purposes. Due to the handmade nature of our products, the finished item may vary slightly from photographs shown.

Product availability may change depending on seasonal ingredients and stock.

Where a specific flavour, decoration or ingredient becomes unavailable, we will contact you where a suitable alternative is required.

4. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Our kitchen handles ingredients including, but not limited to, nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, soya and other allergens.

Although we take reasonable precautions when preparing our products, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or cross-contamination.

Customers must inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements before placing an order.

Allergen information is available for our products and customers should contact us if they require clarification before purchasing.

Customers are responsible for checking the allergen information provided before consuming our products.

5. Collection

Collection is available from our designated collection location in Little Bentley, Colchester, CO7 8SL, at the agreed collection date and time.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their order is collected at the agreed time.

Orders should be checked at the point of collection.

Once an order has been collected, Delovelicious Cakes & Co cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect transportation, handling, storage or display.

Cakes and delicate desserts should be transported on a flat, secure surface and kept in suitable conditions.

6. Delivery

Local delivery is available to selected areas and may be subject to an additional delivery charge.

Delivery times are approximate and may be affected by traffic, weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Customers must ensure that someone is available to receive the order at the agreed delivery time.

Once an order has been delivered and accepted, Delovelicious Cakes & Co cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect handling, transportation or storage.

If the customer is unavailable at the agreed delivery time, additional delivery charges may apply.

7. Cancellations, Amendments & Refunds

Deposits paid for bespoke orders are non-refundable because the booking date, ingredients, materials and preparation may be allocated specifically to the order.

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or amend an order.

Cancellation or amendment of a bespoke order may result in additional charges depending on the stage of preparation and costs already incurred.

Orders placed less than 7 days before collection or delivery may not be eligible for cancellation or amendment.

Standard shop products that have already been prepared specifically for an order may not be eligible for cancellation.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.

8. Storage & Product Care

Customers are responsible for storing products appropriately once they have been collected or delivered.

Products must be stored according to the storage and care instructions provided.

Cakes, desserts and other products requiring refrigeration should be refrigerated promptly.

Products should be kept away from direct sunlight, heat and unsuitable conditions.

Some decorations may be fragile and should be handled with care.

Products should be consumed within the recommended timeframe stated on the packaging or provided with the order.

9. Grazing Tables & Catering

Grazing tables and catering products should be consumed within the advised timeframe for food-safety purposes.

Customers must follow any food-safety, storage and serving instructions provided.

Any boards, stands, equipment, display items, or styling items supplied by Delovelicious Cakes & Co remain our property unless otherwise agreed.

Items provided on a return basis must be returned in good condition.

Charges may apply for items that are lost, damaged or not returned.

11. Photography & Marketing

We may photograph cakes, cookies, brownies, desserts, grazing tables, party packages and other products created by Delovelicious Cakes & Co for use on our website and social media platforms.

We will not use customers' personal information for marketing purposes without appropriate permission.

If you do not wish your order to be photographed or used for promotional purposes, please let us know when placing your order.

12. Product Information

We aim to ensure that all product descriptions, photographs, prices and allergen information on our website are accurate.

However, ingredients, decorations and availability may occasionally change.

We reserve the right to update product descriptions, prices and availability when necessary.

Any significant change affecting an order will be communicated to the customer where appropriate.

13. Liability

Delovelicious Cakes & Co takes reasonable care in the preparation, packaging and handling of all products.

We're not responsible for damage that occurs after collection or delivery if the product wasn't stored, transported, or handled correctly.

We cannot accept responsibility for indirect or unforeseen losses arising from the use or consumption of our products, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under UK law.

14. Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including PayPal, debit and credit cards, and other available options.

For bespoke orders, the required deposit or balance must be paid within the timeframe agreed at the time of booking.

Failure to make a required payment may result in the order or booking being cancelled.

15. Agreement

By placing an order with Delovelicious Cakes & Co, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions when necessary. The version displayed on our website at the time of placing your order will apply to that order.
